Mathew Knowles Fails to Pay Child Support

Singer Beyonce Knowles's father Mathew Knowles has fallen behind in the child support payments he was court-ordered to provide to his former mistress and Scrubs star, Alexsandra Wright, in 2010. In 2009, Alexsandra had approached the former music manager as father of her child. Nixon, who was born in February 2010 after an 18-month affair, was proven to be Mathew Knowles' biological son. Beyonce's mother Tina filed for divorce shortly after the affair was publicized, ending their 29 year marriage.

The required monthly $12,000 installments of child support have been missed now for two months in a row. According to sources close to Ms. Wright, she has had to pull her son out of school because she can no longer afford to pay for it. In August she released a letter apologizing for the pain she caused the Knowles family, and announcing that she will head back to Superior Court to fight for her son's rights. "I'm fighting for every single parent and child as I fight for my own." Mr. Knowles has reportedly made no effort to be a part of his son's life.

Mr. Knowles remarried in Houston, Texas this July to former model Gena Charmaine Avery. None of his children were present.
