Actor Charlie Sheen says that Denise Richards wants to have a third child with him.
The problem is, of course, that the couple divorced last year. And that they’re currently in the middle of a custody battle over their daughters Sam, 3, and Lola, 2.
In an interview aired on August 7, Sheen told Entertainment Tonight that ex-wife Richards, 36, had asked him for a sperm sample. “There was a request for a donation,” the 41-year-old star of Platoon and Hot Shots! said. “Without getting into it here,” he added, “there is a specific document relating to this that I am going to reserve for a court.”
The show posted the interview on its website, www.etonline.com.
There was no comment from Richards’ spokesperson. However, the New York Post has quoted Richards in the past as saying, “I don’t want another child right now. I have my hands full.”
Richards’ acting credits include Starship Troopers and The World Is Not Enough.
On top of the reportedly nasty divorce and custody battle, Sheen has other things on his mind. He recently received an Emmy nomination for his role in the TV series Two and a Half Men. He has also become engaged to 29-year-old real-estate investor Brooke Mueller. “She’s just easy, and loving, and smart,” he said in the ET interview, “and if everybody was just as happy to see me when I walk through a door as [Mueller is], my life would be perfect.”
Sheen has filed a request at a court in the Los Angeles area for more time with Sam and Lola, according to E!.
Asked by ET if he would ever seriously consider fathering another child with Richards, he said, “I would sooner, in exactly what I’m wearing, walk on the surface of the moon.”
