As reported by People Magazine, 43-year old Tia Carrere, star of the film Wayne's World, the TV show Relic Hunter, and a host of other productions has filed for divorce from her 37-year old husband, British photojournalist Simon Wakelin.  

Carrere, who is acting as her own attorney, filed divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court on April 1. She cited irreconcilable differences as the basis for the divorce action. The couple also has a prenuptial agreement.

Carrere has also filed for sole custody of the couple's 4-year old daughter, Bianca.

This will be Carrere's second divorce. Her first was in 2000 to producer Elie Samaha.
