November 16, 2011: Terrell Owens Declares Financial Crisis
By April Lopez
American football wide receiver Terrell Owens has filed papers in three separate child support cases to have his payments lowered..
The six-time Pro Bowl selection missed a court date with one woman and was issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
Owens has filed to have his payments reduced with two other women and is planning to file for a modification of support for the third.
Owens has an 11-year-old son with Monique Reynolds. He paid $20,000 per month in support until last year, when it was reduced to $11,202. Reynolds was also given $100,000 to buy a house.
In 2006 Samelia Miller also gave birth to Terrell's son. He was ordered to pay $13,400 per month in support.
In 2007 Owens was ordered to pay $5,000 per month for his daughter with Melanie Paige Smith. Owens has not yet requested a reduction for this one, but he is planning to ask for a modification, according to his representative.
Owens, who is currently a free agent, has declared that his monthly income is zero ($0), that's why he is requesting a reduction in child support payments.
In addition, Owens is claiming his home in Georgia is in foreclosure and is paying $62,366 per month for various properties.
He has always paid his child support payments and loves his kids, but currently is in a financial crisis, his rep says.
