Sharon Stone's divorce from Phil Bronstein has been finalized.

The divorce between movie star Sharon Stone and her husband of six years, San Francisco Chronicle editor Phil Bronstein, is now final. Both Bronstein and Stone have agreed not to claim spousal support.

The couple separated last year, with Bronstein citing irreconcilable differences when he filed for divorce on July 3. They publicly claimed that their breakup was amicable and that they were seeking joint custody of their adopted son, Roan, who is now four years old. The divorce was finalized recently in Washington, DC.

Stone, best known for her roles in such films as Basic Instinct, Total Recall, and Casino, married Bronstein on Valentine's Day in 1998. Their marriage survived some very public medical mishaps in 2001, including Stone's brain haemorrhage and Bronstein's emergency tendon surgery. Bronstein is the journalist who discovered Imelda Marcos' shoe collection.
