By Josh D. Simon In what may be the longest on-again-off-again Hollywood relationship since Taylor and Burton, Sean Penn and the de-hyphenated Robin Wright have finally -- officially, totally, completely, don't-expect-this-to-change -- divorced. Penn, 49, and Wright, 44, were married for 11 years, and have two children: son Hopper Jack, 17, and daughter Dylan, 19. The couple began divorce proceedings in 2007, but called off the proceedings a few times -- most recently last August. However, they were unable to reconcile and the divorce was finalized on July 22 in Marin County, California. Despite their well-publicized woes, the couple opted not to air the others' dirty laundry in court. Instead, they reached a private agreement on child support, alimony, asset distribution, and custody of their son Hopper Jack. Still, since Hollywood is the sequel factory, a Sean and Robin II is not entirely out of the realm of possibility, despite the fact that Penn recently told Vanity Fair that his ex-wife is "a ghost to me now." Sounds like a thriller could be in the works. |
