In what may go down and the cheesiest publicity stunt since, well, ever, reality show "star" Heidi Montag has canceled her divorce to Spencer Pratt.

The news is hardly a shock to some insiders who have speculated throughout the couples' divorce proceeding that it may be nothing more than a chance for them to reclaim the headlines. The fact that Montag and Spencer turned their divorce cancellation into a Malibu beach public relations event, complete with the actual burning of divorce papers, lends credibility to the cynical view. 

"We are back together trying to make things work," the pair announced in a statement. "We do love each other and realized we do want to spend the rest of our lives together."
