Heather Locklear and Ritchie Sambora make divorce official

Actress Heather Locklear and Guitarist Richie Sambora have made their divorce official as of Wednesday April 18, 2007. 

While the documents were finalized in Superior Court, neither Locklear nor Sambora’s publicists were available for comment.  Locklear, 45, filed for divorce in February 2006, citing irreconcilable differences.

Custody of the separated couple’s daughter, Ava will be ordered in a proposed judgment, however details of visitation rights and spousal support are being kept private. 

Sambora has asked for both joint physical and legal custody of Ava with court papers filed in March 2006.  He is fighting his order to pay spousal support to Locklear, asking the court to enforce the former duo’s premarital agreement.

While the divorce has been finalized, the two seemingly have gone on with their lives for quite some time.  Sambora has been romantically linked to actress Denise Richards, while Locklear has been long-rumored to be dating comedian David Spade.
