By Josh D. Simon Kelsey Grammar, former prime time star of Cheers, Frasier and most recently the short-lived comedy Back to You, is divorcing his wife, Camille, an actress on the show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The two have been married for 13 years, and have two children. It was Camilla who filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences (allowed under 'no fault' divorce). She is also seeking joint legal and primary physical custody of their two children. Rumors are swirling around on what led to the break-up. Some are saying that Kelsey's move to New York earlier this year to star on Broadway's La Cage Aux Folles was too much for the marriage to bear. The situation wasn't made much clearer when Kelsey took to the Twitterwaves last Thursday and announced: "Had some bad news to deal with today. Things fell apart between us. That is all. Camille did not want this but has made a very difficult decision and I respect her for it." And it appears as though more information won't be forthcoming anytime soon. A representative for the couple has said: "Kelsey and Camille value privacy. They understand that private lives sometimes get played out in public but ask on this occasion that their privacy — and the privacy of their children — be respected." |
