Heather Matarazzo, who began her acting career as the geeky, tormented Dawn Wiener in the hit 1996 indie film Welcome to the Dollhouse, has become engaged to model Carolyn Murphy, according to an E! Online report.

"They've been together for over a year," E! quoted Matarazzo's publicist, Lisa Jammal, as revealing. Jammal added that both women proposed to each other: "It was really cute. First Heather proposed to Carolyn, then Carolyn proposed to her.

"It was love at first sight," Jammal told E!.

Matarazzo, 25, followed her breakthrough role in Welcome to the Dollhouse with parts in Scream 3, Sorority Boys, and Saved!. She may be best known to mainstream audiences as Lilly in The Princess Diaries and its sequel.

Murphy, who will soon turn 33, has previously been married to surf-shop owner Jake Schroeder; she divorced him in 2002 after about three years of marriage. She has a seven-year-old daughter from her marriage to Schroeder. Murphy has also been linked to model Mark Vanderloo and Incubus singer Brandon Boyd.
