It turns out that the Dixie Chicks' banjo-player has been separated from her husband since January. But now that the divorce is final, perhaps now she is Ready To Make Nice.

Emily Robison received her divorce on August 6 at the Bexar County Courthouse in San Antonio. Her ex-husband, fellow country singer Charlie Robison, filed for divorce in January. According to the San Antonio Express-News, the papers read that the Robisons' marriage had "become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities".

Both spouses were present at the courthouse when their split became official.

A representative for the Dixie Chicks told the Associated Press, "We can confirm that the divorce is final. They remain the best of friends, and their family is obviously the priority." Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Charlie Robison said in a statement that he and Emily Robison "remain close friends, and their family is the priority and will continue to be."

Charlie and Emily Robison married in May 1999. They have a five-year-old son, Charles Augustus (or "Gus"), as well as three-year-old fraternal twins Julianna Tex and Henry Benjamin. The couple conceived all of their children by invitro fertilization.
