If you notice that country superstar Carrie Underwood starts making hockey references in her songs -- say, "you'll get a 5 minute major for high sticking my heart" or "you went top shelf over the glove hand of my soul," then you'll have to give more of the credit (or the blame) to her new beau, NHL star Mike Fisher.

Underwood and Fisher were married on 10 July at a Georgia resort in front of 250 security-cleared guests. Several of Fisher's current Ottawa Senators teammates attended, as did a variety of country and western celebrities, including Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Most were kept out of paparazzi-view, however, by a large white tent. 

"We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!" Underwood and Fisher told People Magazine. 

The newlyweds plan on living both in Nashville and Peterborough, Ontario.
