As reported by People, Kirstie Alley, the 59-year old Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning actress known most recently for at the realty-TV look at her weight loss challenges, has given her blessing to 17-year old son True's engagement. 

While some observers may wonder that 17-year old's aren't ready for marriage, Alley shrugs off the suggestion. "I feel good because they're really in love," she said while a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. "True [has] a level head. He's a good guy. He's very monogamous, and he's very sweet with her."

And as for the possibilities of divorce, Alley doesn't think she's qualified to render an expert opinion. "I was married at just 19 years old, and that didn't work," she offered. "Then I was married when I was 30 years old... and that didn't work. So, I don't think I'm an expert on the subject."
