Title: Infidelity and asset separation
My wife walked out on me after falling for a new guy, and was with him nearly immediately after she left. Though, at that time, neither of us filed for divorce or legal separation, so would that not be considered adultery? And now that the topic of divorce has surfaced she claims she's entitled to 50% of our assets. I'm trying to determine if Georgia follows a 50/50 split, even when adultery and 'fault' is involved.

Well, I am very interested to understand what others also think on this. Same situation here. I understand from the soliciors I spoke with that infidelity does not remove any partners claim to assets. Hope thimngs get sorted out for you and anyone else who has a similar situation.
