Title: Re-Married Approximately 2 Months B4 D-Day
I just wanted to know if my ex asked me for a divorce in May 2006, and we divorced in February 2007, is my getting re-married considered "bigamy"? BTW, all of this took place in the state of AZ. All I want to know is, why is he threatening me, through my family/relatives, with bigamy when he asked for the divorce and it is now final? Can he sue me for re-marrying 2 months b4 D-day? This is just too much for me to bare anymore. Thanks for any help.

Once your divorce is final and approved in the courts, you can get remarried the very next day if you want! So, getting remarried two years after your divorce is final is not "bigamy." Your ex is full of it.
