Title: Marital settlement agreement
My husband wants to buy me out of the house. I would like to live here until our son graduates from college, which will be in four years. Any suggestions?

my divorce is final and my ex-wife won't give me a key to house.in the divorce paper we have to sell.she work during the day and i need a key to show the house. what can i do?

what is the house worth now? it might not be such a bad deal especially now with mortgage rates still as low as they are... If you have equity built up, refinance it and pay him half. I wish I had done that now, because now is certainly not the time to sell. He sold our swithin 10 days but he only asked 10k more than what we bought it for 6 years ago which at that point already had 40K equity from day one. Smart guy right?!!!

Suggest private Mediation. Very cost effective.
You and husband get to decide (not the court)
how and when to change title/possession to house.
You both come with your ideas and trained Mediator
(usually a retired judge) helps both spouses draft your
Settlement Agreement (SA) which protects both spouses and child.
You file your S.A. w/ local court. It's over and done.
You can always modify later if plans change.
All good Attorneys and Courts encourage private Mediation.
Average time: 3-4 hours.
Average cost: under $1,000.00
Average settlement rate: 90%

Good luck.
