Title: wife wants to take minor children out of state
my wife dosent like where we live, her family lives 1500 miles away we have a 2 year old son together, and she has 2 girls 7 and 9 , and she wants to move to be with her family. i will not part with my son, and am not moving, i have all my family here... legally she can leave with her daughters because there not mine, but she cant take my son out of state right?

It depends upon what your judgment says and what your custody arrangements are. Often, the judgment will address the issue of one parents moving (e.g., whether consent or a court order is needed, etc.). Also, if you have joint legal custody and/or joint physical custody, moving without your permission is harder to do and probably requires a court order.

I had payed out $550.00 for a court order for visits with my daugher,and a month later he packed up everything to moved 4stetes away,i took him to court two months later and it was ok, for him to breat the court order

ha i just moved from ohio to texas 4 months ago, i went to the court house put in a change of address and asked if there was anything els i needed to do, they told me no

from what i was told in court and my ex was told... they can not tell me where to live and they cant tell me how to spend my child suport....ive been told before also that all i have to do is give him the adress to where i live so he will know where his child are... and if he wants his visatation then he will have to make trips to come get them to keep the arangment we have... and i dont see him doing that.. but that is also something im working on...we are not sure if we are gonna move yet till my hubys work tells him if they want him to go there or not

Talk to a lawyer. You need a court order to prevent her from moving with him.
