My cousin needs help! I cannot give too many details for fear of retribution, but here goes: My cousin is going through a very messy divorce. The problem is that her ex is a high-ranking police officer and has been able to manipulate the system into agreeing with him so he could get custody of their son. The poor boy is diabetic and is suffering tremendously from not being with his mother. If the judge would just look at his blood-sugar levels when he's with his father as opposed to when he's with his mother, he'd give the mother full custody! She needs good legal help, but cannot afford it on her salary. Her ex is now dating a woman with a teenager who picks on the young son. This boy is suffering terribly and his doctor has already scolded his parents, telling them that their bickering and fighting is affecting his health. That worked for all of 2 days, then the father started being a jerk again.
Anyway, does anyone know of an attorney who could help my cousin, knowing she doesn't have very much money and that he'll be up against a police officer with a lot of backup?
