Title: who gets the house
I live in Mississippi and am about to go thru a divorce with my wife of 22 years. No one is really at fault, we have just grown appart to the point that we have nothing in common. No papers have been filed yet, I am just trying to get an idea of where I stand on this. We live in a house that I built on my parents land. My dad deeded me an acre of land that the house is on before we got married. The deed is in my name only. Does this mean that the house is mine or do we have to split it?

The land is your's,if the house was built on the land after you were married you may have to split that if your state is community state
