If you have children together you can sue him for child support. You can take him to court as long as you have proof that any bill you had were in his name so he pays that , and any bills that were in both names he would have to pay half of that. And only take your name off of any accounts you have together since you will have to pay on a closed account weather or not both names are on or not. It happened to me. I closed our joint account and had to pay the whole bill since he didn't. Closed accounts will show on your credit so only taking your name off will do your score better. I don't know why that is, but that's what my laywer told me when I got divorced. Hope this helps.

if you have credit cards or joint accounts with his name on it, you should close them all out right away. As you probably know, you need to protect your own credit. http://www.divorcemag.com/c/s3/?F

She probably wants him to pay debts that he has left. She can't even write proper English......job skills are questionable. Good Luck. And she can take him to court to pay debts that were accumuated over the three years of marriage.

With a marriage of such short duration, you are not eligible for alimony/spousal support (same thing, different name). What is there to prevent you from getting out and working to pay your own bills?
