newbie..so i apologize in advance for questions that have been asked and answered.

in a nutshell, married 25 years, kids are grown, i stayed home and raised the 4 kids one of whom had health problems up until tweens,, he makes 85000 and i make 25000, i have health issues that limit my 'employablity' and i'm lucky to have the job i do. what would spousal support look like for me, he says he will give nothing.

To make a long story short.......He will have to pay spousal support. He doesn't have a choice. I also live in Ontario and I know because i have gone through it. All property will be divided and he will have to pay support. The Ontario government equalizes assets so you have nothing to fear. The best thing for you to do is get a lawyer. I know that I was filled with fear about what was going to happen to me and how I was going to manage until I educated myself with the laws. Don't be afraid. He is feeding on your fear and using it to control you.
