after paying child support for six years, I find out thru a personal paternity test that I am not the father. Mother refuse to take another, wihich I paid for, and will not answer phone. Do I have any rights to sue her for the money I paid, would a judge order me to continue to pay support, even if we go to court and I file a motion to stop the order, the order was done in the state of kentucky,

I wish that I could help you, but I'm far away in California and don't know how court rulings work in Kentucky. Here it varies from county to county.
That is a peculiar situation that you've become stuck within. Do any lawyers near you offer free consultations? From what I've heard, consultations are incredibly helpful in helping you figure out where you stand and what your options are. And since some offer free consultations, it certainly wouldn't hurt to try. Do you have a bond with the child? Do you have visitation rights? Those might be important additional factors in the case. | |
