Title: Oregon Spousal or Maintenance or Transitional Support
I have been married for 27 yrs my son's are 23 and 19 both in college full time. My husband wants a divorce-he says he doesn't owe spousal or any support for me. I make approx. 80-90K a year- he owes a business - and has lots of write offs in his business that were for family stuff- that I will now have to pay most of - he puts his salary at 60K and then pays dividends of approx 90-k a year after write offs...we both have 4 year degrees but the income is very unequal and my life style will be changed. After 27 years don't I qualify for a temp extra income. I would have to go to school to make more. He also was the one who did our investments where we made money- I have no skill or clue how I would invest as we did to make more income.(this was in addition to our 401K's - however he also picked what we invested in on our 401K's.)
