My downward mod was denied by the court (Calif.).
I can't pay the agreed amount anymore due to reduction of income. There is no child support involved. No assets for her to attatch. What can she do? You must Login / Register to post a reply.

Hi Tom:
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the modification denial puts you in a very difficult position. The support order is a judgment and subject to all lawful collection actions. If you are employed, your wages can be garnished, most liekly upt to 25%. Your bank accounmts can be garnished. Of course, any unpaid amounts for the montly support will accrue interest and she may be able to receive a supplement judgment against you for her attorney fees and collection costs.
