Title: Child Support
I have a 2 year old daughter and have been in and out of a a relationship with her father for 5 years. He has never helped me financially. I recently found out that he may be reconciling with his Ex wife while we are still together. I am sure I can get child support since I have a paternity test that shows he is the father, but can I fight to get child support since she was born or will it start the day I file?

What State do you live in? I know in Florida they will help you get it from the time she was born. It happened to me. Good Luck.

From what I have heard it's starts from when you actually go to court. When I went in to get info from domestic realtions I asked about getting back support from my ex they said that I can't get that unless I hire a lawyer. DR only helps you get money from the time after your court date.
