Title: Alimony -Do I deserve it?
My husband of 6 years decided to go through a mid-life crisis and told me he wanted a divorce. My question is, do I deserve alimony? Should I fight and for how much? He makes $50,000. per year and I made $16,000 in 2008, $0 in 2007 and 60,000 in 2006 (lost great job!). He made me sell our home as I cannot afford it on my own, and is fighting for everything. HELP!!!!!!

With a marriage of such short duration, you may get alimony for some relatively short period (1 - 3 years). However, if you are able to support yourself (as it appears you have done in the past), that alimony is likely not warranted.
