Dr. Patricia Love, Ed.D., is an author, speaker, and consultant specializing in marriage, divorce, remarriage, and relationship issues. She is a clinical member and approved supervisor in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), past-president of the International Association of Marriage and Family Counseling, and a founding member of the National Academy of Marriage and Family Counselors.

Dr. Love began her professional career as a Counselor Educator at Texas A & M University, Commerce, in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. She went on to co-found the Austin Family Institute where she continued to train, supervise, write, and lecture.

Dr. Love has co-authored three books: the ever-popular Hot Monogamy: Essential Steps to More Passionate, Intimate Lovemaking (Plume, 1999); The Truth About Love: The Highs, the Lows, and How You Can Make It Last Forever (Fireside, 2001); and The Emotional Incest Syndrome: What To Do When a Parent's Love Rules Your Life -- and has published several professional articles. She has been an ongoing columnist in Notorious Magazine and has contributed chapters to The Intimate Couple and Handbook for the Soul.

A frequent media guest, Pat has appeared on every major television talks show including numerous appearances on "Oprah Winfrey", NBC's "Today Show", and "CNN". She has been interviewed by numerous magazines including: Cosmopolitan, Family Circle, Glamour, Men's Health, New York Times Magazine, Parade, Reader's Digest, Shape, and Woman's Day. She also has a multitude of radio and online interviews.

Dr. Love is known for her ability to captivate an audience. Her unique style and poignant delivery have been described as "moving," "inspiring," "humorous," and "informative." As one viewer commented: "She can have you laughing and crying in the same minute." Her talent and expertise as a speaker have taken her across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Australia.

Dr. Love is available for private consultation for individuals and couples. She offers day-long and multiple-day consultation visits for couples wanting to redirect their relationship, individuals facing serious life decisions, and those in crisis.
