After filing for divorce earlier this year, on February 26th a Charleston, SC judge granted Jenny Sanford a divorce from her disgraced husband, Governor Mark Sanford.

Details on the divorce have been sealed by the court, but it's publicly known that the couple had attempted by reconcile their marriage. "We worked very diligently to put the marriage back together," Jenny Sanford said after the divorce was finalized last week.

However, the couple's efforts at healing their fractured marriage was undermined by Goveror Sanford's inability to stop seeing his Argentian lover Maria Belen Charpur, who he has called his "soulmate."
