The Wrong Woman

A man who says he married the wrong woman is getting a divorce.
Attorneys for Joseph Pileggi and Carli Buchanan say they reached a divorce settlement Friday, September 22. The 69-year-old Pileggi sued Buchanan for an annulment. He claims that he thought that he had married her mother, 83-year-old Ducile Palermo, during a 1997 ceremony in Daytona Beach, Fla.
He says that he was shocked when he came across the marriage license that had the 61-year-old Buchanan signed as the bride and Palermo as a witness.
But Buchanan claims that Pileggi knew full well that he was marrying her and that they consummated the wedding the same day.
The divorce settlement includes an exchange of money and property, but attorneys would not discuss the details until the couple appears in court.
