65 Year Marriage Won't End in Divorce

Last August, a court in Uganda rejected a 97-year-old man's application for a divorce from his 77-year-old wife.
Adonia Basalirwa has been married to Florence Mpakibi for 65 years, but now claims she committed adultery with several men between 1975 and 1986.
The couple were married in 1935 and, according to the New Vision newspaper, divorce is rare in Uganda though polygamy is legal.
It isn't clear why Mr. Basalirwa took so long to bring the case, but a magistrate threw out his complaint and instead awarded costs to his wife.
