Divorce Court's Judge Lynn Toler writing
for Divorce Magazine

TORONTO – Divorce Magazine and DivorceMagazine.com, North America's premier guides to surviving and thriving through the divorce process, have a new celebrity columnist. Judge Lynn Toler, star of Twentieth Television's syndicated court show Divorce Court, will be writing a feature called "Advice from Judge Toler" for each issue of Divorce Magazine; she will also write an advice column, "Ask Judge Toler", for DivorceMagazine.com.

Judge TolerJudge Toler, a graduate of Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, served as a municipal court judge for eight years. She has presided over the courtroom on Divorce Court since September 2006 and is also the author of My Mother's Rules, a guide to greater emotional control.

"We've had various authors and celebrities doing Q&A columns before," says Divorce Magazine CEO and Publisher Dan Couvrette, "including Dr. John Gray, Dr. Patricia Love, and Ivana Trump. They each have provided a different perspective. We are very excited about having Judge Toler to provide her direct, no-nonsense advice to divorcing people to help reduce the emotional and financial hardship."

Couvrette invites the public to send in their divorce-related questions to editors@divorcemag.com, with subject line: "Question for Judge Toler".

Judge Toler's first article for Divorce Magazine, "I May Not Be the Answer", discusses alternatives to court in resolving divorce. "Knowledge is power. Be aware of your options," she writes. The summer/fall 2008 issue of Divorce Magazine will be out this week in the United States and Canada.

"I am so happy to be able to assist without adjudicating," notes Judge Toler. "Divorce Magazine is giving me the voice I need to help on a broader scale.  I am excited about the opportunity."
