O'Neil Anderson offers clients the same benefits as a large firm -- but in a more personalized setting and often with greater cost-efficiencies.
When the team of Michelle May O'Neil and Nathan Anderson meet clients for the first time, they skillfully gather information, then talk with their clients -- and each other -- about the law and how it applies to their clients. "We like clients to articulate their goals so we can help them create realistic expectations," notes Ms. O'Neil. Both she and Mr. Anderson also apply the team approach within their office, carefully fitting the abilities of their staff to their assigned tasks. "We have members of our team who exist outside the firm, from financial consultants, custody experts, and jury consultants to litigation coaches and technology consultants," shares Mr. Anderson. "Whatever the situation, we can employ the right people to help us."
Michelle May O'Neil: a strong litigator and proven winner Ms. O'Neil was educated at Baylor University School of Law, where there's a strong emphasis on litigation. In 2003, she established The May Firm -- now known as O'Neil Anderson -- as a family law boutique firm focusing on litigation and appeals. Ms. O'Neil takes case preparation very seriously. One staff member is dedicated solely to organization of the client file, not only in the office, but whenever Ms. O'Neil goes to trial. The firm employs proprietary filing and organizational systems, as well as the very latest in scanning devices and legal software for document exchange, filing, and indexing. Ms. O'Neil is recognized as a family law specialist by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has been listed in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, and Who's Who Among American Women. In addition, she co-authored a book entitled All About Texas Law and Kids, published in 2009. Nathan Anderson: a passion for achieving the best client results A sixth generation Texan, Nathan Anderson co-founded O'Neil Anderson after working for a national law firm in Houston as a commercial litigator focusing on labor and employment law. Family law has always been Nathan's passion, and he combines the right amount of aggressiveness with tact to obtain the best possible results for his clients. Nathan firmly believes in taking a proactive approach to case management and that continuing to do the same old things in the same old ways leads to the same old results -- a continuing downward spiral in client satisfaction. As a litigator, Nathan has earned the respect of his clients, peers and opponents by never taking short cuts and always being professional. No stranger to hard work, Nathan obtained his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University cum laude while working his way through law school. During law school Nathan was the President of the Phi Delta Phi legal honors fraternity and president of the SMU Family Law Association. Nathan was also the recipient of the State Bar of Texas Law Student Division Legal Professionalism Award for the SMU campus.
