Divorce can be psychologically and financially damaging to both parties as well as their children. It can lead to bitter acrimony, sky-high legal costs, and a long, drawn-out battle. It can destroy family businesses and devastate financial futures. But not all divorces are alike, nor are all divorce lawyers. It’s your choice. It’s your divorce. How do you want to proceed?

At Toronto’s Rayson & Associates, Family Law Practitioners, clients have options when it comes to achieving a fair, equitable divorce. The firm’s four highly qualified lawyers will help you find the one that’s right for you and your situation.

Rayson & Associates concentrate exclusively on family law, dealing with matters ranging from complex property disputes to cases involving custody and access to children, support, mediation, and divorce. The lawyers believe that divorce is about more than just the law: it’s about people and how you deal with them. In most cases, clients experience a less adversarial approach, regardless of the nature or size of their family-law matter.

The lawyers offer clients varied backgrounds and skill sets and clients are carefully matched with the lawyer that best suits their needs. All four possess strong business acumen and an intimate understanding of the financial side of divorce. Rayson & Associates frequently work with large businesses, where divorce can be a particularly disruptive force. Whenever possible, they strive to minimize the financial and personal damage divorce can cause, offering clients confidential, less adversarial alternatives to the courtroom model.

The lawyers often turn to arbitration in financial cases because it is less invasive and more cost-effective than litigation. Mediation is another alternative to litigation that can be cost-effective and less damaging to the parties concerned than litigation. When these other options have been exhausted, however, the firm does not hesitate to turn to litigation to strongly defend their client’s position.

Rayson & Associates understand the heightened emotions involved with divorce. At the same time, they counsel their clients to set their feelings aside, so they can concentrate on the legal and financial aspects of their divorce case. They promote moderation because they know that the decisions their clients make today will affect them for the rest of their lives.

Less adversarial, more cost-effective: when it comes time to choose your legal representation, you do have options.
