"When I go to rent an apartment, what kinds of documents do I need to take?"

When you’re ready to sign the lease to your new apartment, here’s what you should bring to make the process faster and easier:

• Your driver’s license (if you’re a US citizen) or your passport (if you’re a foreign national)

• Financial documents (e.g. bank account numbers, etc.)

• Your deposit for the apartment

• Documents that verify your income (e.g. recent pay stub or tax return). If financial assistance is required to pay your rent, then also bring your passport or social security number.
